Military Search And Destroy Counter Sniper Operations
A significant problem facing military patrols engaging in search and seizure operation is the ability to find weapons and explosives that have been hidden from direct view or are booby trapped.
Even with night vision capability, the ingenuity of insurgents in stashing and hiding dangerous hardware can represent a real problem for the searchers. They need to operate their search in dimply lit areas, in overhead compartments, below structures and even in walls to ferret out the munitions and weapons.
Now with the Forward Observer the search teams are given a way to rapidly enter a premises and thoroughly search the crevices and out-of-sit areas.
Day or night, even in bright sunlight, the search teams uncover anomalies that dictate the presence of weapons or munitions and can then do further more comprehensive searches to uncover them.
Troops Are No Longer "The First" Through The Door
Using the Forward Observer system held in a hand, mounted on poles or the Picatinny mounts of rifles, the Forward Observer Cameras can be passed around, over or under obstacles to clear the way for the troops that follow. Adversaries and obstacles are immediately identified and targeted increasing the safety of squad members clearing a building.

Booby traps can be quantified and bypassed or neutralized and the "target" of an advisory is a piece of hardware that if they act against gives away their location.
Used in conjunction with a well trained infantry squad, the Forward Observer gives them the edge they need to destroy the enemy while reducing potential collateral damage.
And the leave behind camera capability protects their rear and flanks from enemies that might try to engage them after they pass a position.
Counter Sniper Operations
A squad pinned down by an unidentified sniper location can now wait-it-out until the sniper gives itself away by movement. The force operating from behind a protective wall can position a lightly camouflaged camera in the direction of the shot and while still out-of-view, wait for the sniper to make a move.
With the cameras internal targeting recital active several member of the squad carrying wrist monitors have the ability to watch for the slightest movement and can move rapidly to neutralize the opponent without giving away their location.
